To be honest I was really nervous to start Ramadhan this time. Everything is so different. Imsak is really early, around 3.40am we barely have any appetite to eat anything. Maghrib is late, around 8.10pm so we would've been fasting for longer than usual. I'm pregnant this time, and this pregnancy i've been particularly eating a lot and cannot miss any mealtimes. There's no yummy food and pasar ramadhan...oh..i miss those the most..
It's been a couple days. Every mealtime I start to get gassy and really hungry. And I feel really dizzy and exhausted..so far in the afternoons I've just been napping with Adam. Thank God it was the weekend and my husband was around. Rasa mcm budak2 skolah puasa pulak...every so often I'll tell him 'Bang..lapar laaaa....'. And he'll say 'Kejaaaap je lagi ek....'. But luckily I got through the 2 days...hopefully dapatlah puasa penuh.....

a ah aida. aku pun jadi mcm budak2 la pulak. dah 3 hari pose ni, stp ari ckp lapa sgt..haus..aduh..sedapnye air tu..sedapnye dpt mkn ni...
mgkin sb ada budak kat dlm perut tu yg jadi mcm budak kot..

If you cannot take it, we have the choice not to fast, inshaa Allaah. :)
And if it jeopardizes either mommy or baby's health, then it is waajib that you do not fast..

i managed 18 days lat year during my last trimester. alhamdulillah. hari ke 20 i bersalin.
Oh ye.. diwajibkan pada ibu untuk berbuka sekiranya tidak tahan. demi kesihatan anak dlm perut ok. jangan dipaksa. dun worry.. nanti boleh ganti. insyallah.
ice blended susu + kurma...
rendam 3 biji kurma dlm 1 mug susu (paling best dutchlady low fat/full . biar kurma tu lembut dlm susu baru blend. kurma takyah byk2, 3 ketul dah cukup manis dah tu.
rendam kurma seblm tido utk diblend stok sahur. rendam kurma tengahari utk diblend stok berbuka.
alhamdulillah, setakat ni takde lagi pedih2 perut, pedih ulu hati cam puasa seblm nih...

takyah cakap la, aku tak pregnant pun asik lapa je dan sangat tido petang2..aku boleh bygkan la kalau org pregnant macamana..
sum tips : jgn lupe at least 2 bj kurma + susu everyday masa sahur. bole tahan lapar. and throughout the nite, try to consume 3 liter of plain water (seems a lot, tapi cuba la), utk meningkatkan tenaga. And of coz, Vitamin C everyday to keep u out of those viruses out there.
Lastly, kalau tak tahan juga buka je..thats the advantage u preggy mommies have :)

Well, with my 1st preg, I had lots of Braxton Hicks contractions at 26 weeks - so I had to stop fasting.
If fasting in any way causes you to feel unwell, or perhaps baby isn't getting enough nutrition (since it is a longggg fast relative to when you are back here) then you can break your fast.
However, some moms can fast throughout, alhamdulillaah.
I was just one of those who couldn't.. :/ But alhamdulillaah 'ala kulli hal!
