Our new house

I met a friend in Tesco the other day and she said why there's hardly any updates anymore on this blog, and the pictures are all blurry. Hehehe... she's right...i do apologise...

We recently moved into a new house and i'm hoping to get internet connection soon. For now pls accept blurry updates from my phone :) the kids love this house. We're now in the process of turning this house into a Home....

they love being able to play outside

i look forward to my sewing room. i've got it all planned out in my head. right now it's all still in boxes...

surprisingly, my favourite space in the house is the kitchen. i'm not much of a cook, i have to admit.

I will update more as soon as i can... i love this house.. it gives me a feeling of calm and peace everytime i wake up... alhamdulillah...

Wild Swimming in Malaysia

Last weekend alhamdulillah we had the chance to go wild swimming in Malaysia! I have been looking forward to this for a long time. Let me tell you why wild swimming in Malaysia is so awesome (compared to our previous wild swimming adventures)

Summer is all year long! yes the heat is sometimes overwhelming but, it is perfect weather for a watery adventure. In London we had to wait for months for summer to arrive, and when it does there is no guarantee that the day you choose to go will be sunny. And even if it is sunny in the morning there is high probability that it'll turn gloomy any minute. And even if against all odds you do get a beautiful sunny day, the water will be freezing cold, so you cannot stay in the water for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Here the water temperature vs the heat is just perfect. Cold and refreshing.

The location of the rivers allows us to go swimming whenever we feel like going. We can just decide in the morning we'd like to go and just pick up and leave. We could get there in half an hour. In London, we have to plan it way in advance, pick a date when the car rent won't be too high (still very expensive), rent the car early on, and get up early morning because it'll take us over an hour to get to the nearest river.

Here we can pick up a few packs for nasi lemak for breakfast along the way, or by the side of the river. Delicious after a cold swim. In London I had to plan the trip, cook the night before or early morning.

But in either case, it's just wonderful to be by the riverside, to hear the flow of the water, smell the crisp fresh air, immerse in the cold water, throw a few stones in the water.

Best of all, it's such a blessing to spend time with the people you love.

oh and some durian on the way back doesn't hurt either ;)

p/s: i apologise for the lack of quality photography on this blog of late. As luck would have it, our card reader got packed with all our boxes. hopefully the boxes will arrive next week.

A gas

Quoting Adam from last week;

"Kentut is a gas. A gas in the bontot"

Mommy: speechless

Hey what can I say. Kids say the darnest thing. And they're usually truthful and honest too.
